Bio

Hi, I'm Stefans, and thank you for having a look at my portfolio!

Originally from Latvia and currently residing in the UK, I have always been passionate about listening and creating unique sound textures and wavetable synths (maybe that is why I was so into Dubstep in 2012). Now, I aim to create immersive audio designs using psychoacoustic and ambisonics technology to enhance people's sonic experience.

I recently graduated with an MSc in Sound & Music for Interactive Games at Leeds Beckett University, where I learned a valuable skillset to dive into the game audio industry with confidence. Throughout the year at my Master's, I participated in various Game Jams and collaborated with other students as a Linear Game Composer. Before that, I did my BSc in Music Technology at Coventry University, where during my 2nd year I had a great opportunity to join Black Cat Entertainment as an Inter Sound Designer & Composer.

First ever technical reel! This was the 3 person project for the Game Audio module during my 3rd year Bachelor's. My tasks were to implement recorded foley sounds and music in Unity using FMOD engine. Exciting times!

My first-ever demo reel made back in 2020. Just started my transition from music to sound design. Will keep it here for the legacy!

Despite this project is not game-related, I believe there is a spot for it! This was a collaboration between me and Daniel Lau from Hong Kong. Daniel composed the song, while I was in charge of FX creation, mixing & mastering.

Desiring to collaborate with someone, I joined a Game Jam. It was a two-man project with a week to make a game. It was a great experience to work in a short time frame and get familiar with Godot!

A friend from Moscow asked to compose a music piece for their first-person shooter with characters from ancient Egyptian mythology. I think I matched the vibe!
